Surface Design Applied
When I was experimenting with applying my surface design as a texture I was initially quite skeptical as I wasn't planning on this design to be specifically a texture. With that created a bit of a challenge with applying my design, as it didn't seamlessly piece together to create a clean surface on these objects. As seen below with my seamless texture, I had to modify my original design as seen in my previous post to be more rectangular, so when making a grid with Array it would nicely piece together. Ultimately I was quite surprised with the results after fixing the design, for each shape or form I did have to play around with UV so that the design had more or less details depending so that the texture suited the geometry better.
I really love the possibilities and opportunities that this opens knowing now have to apply my own textures and materials and create them solely in Rhino if I so choose. Learning how to make cloth/ fluid shapes and manipulate the plot points is really interesting and I can see many uses for this kind of technique in future design and modelling projects.
